The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Gerontology is an applied, professional program designed for students preparing for a career in the field of aging, or a related human service. Course work emphasizes broad, interdisciplinary inquiry into the issues that affect older adults; provides students with the academic skills, professional experience, and research capabilities necessary to pursue doctoral study; and prepares students for professional practice and leadership positions in the public and private sectors.
